A
pictorial celebration of Australia’s four-legged larrikins. Some are top
dog in
high-rise apartments, others are more at home mustering cattle in the
Outback.
The book features over 50 stunning colour and black and white images by
photojournalist Sally Harding and guest contributors. There are also
written dog
profiles by owners from around Australia.
The inspiration behind this book is an old Aesop fable:
‘The City Mouse and the
Country Mouse’. In the story, a city mouse and his
country cousin swap lives to
see which they prefer. In the end, they both cherish what they already
have.
This theme of swapping between extremities has inspired a colourful
pictorial
essay about Australian lifestyle.
Discover why one in three households can’t live
without the warmth,
humour and companionship of a dog...
